Didsbury Dinners
Didsbury Dinners is a registered community interest company, making it easy for people to save money and eat green in Altrincham, Burnage, Chorlton, Didsbury and Old Moat.
We aim to engage and support the community to take action to prevent food-related climate change.
One of the ways we do this by establishing more land for community growing. Please click here to see photos and videos from our community food growing project!
So far we have funded the planting of Fletcher Moss Community Orchard and helped to fund a school food growing project. We've established Fog Lane Park Community Orchard and created a new community garden, an acre in size, in Didsbury Village. We work on this garden most Saturday afternoons between March and October.
And this year, we're working with Westcroft Community Centre, Burnage to create a new community food garden on site. Simply email us if you'd like to get involved in any of these projects. You'll be made very welcome.
We have plans to create three new community gardens and five new landshare opportunities in Didsbury and surrounds this year. We could even use your back garden for this, and give you a share of the produce! Please see the poster below for more information.
